Free Android devices
One nice perk of working for the company behind the biggest mobile operating system in the world is free tech. The company has given out Android smartphones, and last December proved no different, as Google reportedly offered gratis Samsung Galaxy Nexus units to many, if not all, of its employees last December as a holiday gift. Each phone, which normally retails for $299 with a two-year Verizon contract, came with a customized back covered with icons of Google services.
Baby-friendly
The company offers a generous amount of leave for new parents -- 18 weeks for moms, 12 weeks for dads -- above and beyond what some states mandate as standard. At company baby showers held each month, employees get parenting tips, as well as coupons and a credit for an on-site massage. Separately, each new parent may receive $500 worth of what the company calls "baby-bonding bucks," an amount deposited in their account expected to go towards services that may help them during their first few months like laundry, cleaning, even gardening services.
