Finally showing signs of shaking off the lingering effects of its recall crisis, and restarting its operations after Japan's tsunami and Thailand's floods, Toyota climbs three places in this year's survey. Look for a potential assault on the trio above it in 2012 as it launches a record 19 all-new or redesigned vehicles and widens its lead in hybrids. In dramatic evidence of Toyota's marketing muscle, the 2012 Camry displaced the Chevy Silverado pickup in January as America's second most-popular vehicle.
