今年韩国现代汽车(Hyundai)的排名很反常地下跌了两位,这可能是由于去年现代低估了市场对其产品的需求,因此导致产能不足所致。不过千万不要小瞧了现代。其他汽车厂商经常把现代当成他们最恐惧的竞争对手之一,而且现代目前正在朝着一些快速增长的领域进军,比如小型车和紧凑跨界车型等。而且随着现代Genesis轿车(即国内版的劳恩斯)的成功,现代很可能还将成立一个高端子品牌。

6. Hyundai
Unusually for Hyundai, the Korean automaker underestimated demand for its products in 2011 and found itself capacity-constrained, which probably explains its loss of two places in this year's survey. Don't count it out, though. Other automakers regularly rank Hyundai as one of their most feared competitors, and it is making its biggest inroads in fast-growing segments like small cars and compact crossovers. And watch out for a new luxury sub-brand building on the success of the Genesis.
