2012年最差交易大盘点

惠普收购Autonomy

    虽然惠普（Hewlett-Packard）2011年就签订了收购软件公司Autonomy的合同，但直到2012年，大家才明白这是一笔多么糟糕的交易。去年11月末，惠普宣布它将对这笔价值110亿美元的交易减记90亿美元，其中有一半的减记是由于Autonomy涉嫌会计欺诈，而惠普宣称在交易之前对Autonomy的会计欺诈并不知情。不过也有人表示，这一点显而易见。很多分析师称，这笔交易比美国在线（AOL）和时代华纳（Time Warner）的并购还要糟糕，而后者一直被喻为有史以来最差的交易。我想代表我的雇主时代华纳公司衷心地说一句：“谢谢，惠普。谢谢你。”

HP-Autonomy

    While Hewlett-Packard's (HPQ, Fortune 500) deal to buy software company Autonomy was signed in 2011, it took until 2012 to reveal just how truly awful the deal was. In late November, HP announced that it was writing off $9 billion of the $11 billion it paid for the company. About half of that write-off was due to accounting irregularities at Autonomy that HP says it didn't know about before the deal. Others say they should have been obvious.

    A number of analysts have dubbed the deal worse than the AOL-Time Warner merger, which has long held the title as worst deal of all time. On behalf of my employer, Time Warner, I want to say, "Thank you, HP. Thank you."
