5. 联合利华 保罗•波尔曼

    2005年,当联合利华公司(Unliver)首席执行官保罗•保尔曼登上乞力马扎罗山时,他在国际上还没多大名望。当时跟他一起登顶的还有一位朋友,此君是世界上唯一登上珠峰的盲人。正是基于那次登山经历,保尔曼创建了慈善机构乞力马扎罗盲人信托基金会(Kilimanjaro Blind Trust),专门帮助非洲的盲童。

    如今,这位精力充沛的55岁的登山家继续领导着荷兰消费品巨子联合利华,该公司旗下品牌包括本杰瑞(Ben & Jerry)冰淇淋、多芬(Dove)、以及赫尔曼(Hellman’s)调味酱。与此同时,登山事业在他的心中依然占据重要位置。

5. Paul Polman, Unilever

    Unliver CEO Paul Polman wasn't yet an internationally known CEO when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2005. He ascended the peak with a friend who had been the only blind person to climb Mount Everest, and his experience led him to create the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust, a charity benefiting blind children in Africa.

    The cause remains close to his heart as the hearty 55-year-old climber continues to lead the Dutch consumer giant that owns Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Dove, and Hellman's.
