5. Paul Polman, Unilever Unliver CEO Paul Polman wasn't yet an internationally known CEO when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2005. He ascended the peak with a friend who had been the only blind person to climb Mount Everest, and his experience led him to create the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust, a charity benefiting blind children in Africa. The cause remains close to his heart as the hearty 55-year-old climber continues to lead the Dutch consumer giant that owns Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Dove, and Hellman's. |
