Viiv In 2006, Intel marketed Viiv, hoping it would do for living room-friendly media centers what Centrino did for wireless Internet in PCs. The problem was consumers either didn't get Viiv or didn't care -- let alone know how to pronounce the name. Viiv as a brand died quietly, though the idea of the "media PC" lives on in offerings like Google TV and Apple TV. |
