Scott Hedrick, CEO of Pro Athlete, a retailer of baseball equipment in Kansas City, offers his 95 employees a company gym, batting cage, pool, and basketball court. The tab was about $350,000 -- on top of the cost of an onsite trainer -- but, Hedrick says, "I don't look at it that way."
